By examining some of the Great New England Blizzards of the last 80 years, Hayden Frank, senior meteorologist with the National Weather Service, will describe the storms in terms of wind, snow, coastal flooding and overall impact.  He will explain how improvements in science and technology have allowed for both the public and emergency decision makers to better prepare for these forces of nature that are a major part of life in New England.
