Five people made it out safely after a fire heavily damaged a home at 29 Locust Ave. in Portsmouth early Tuesday morning. Police said the fire was called in at 12:15 a.m. and it took crews roughly three hours to contain it. The state fire marshal also responded to scene and ruled that the fire appeared to be accidental.
