Anaïs Mitchell is a Vermont and Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter that has been captivating audiences with her distinctive voice and skillful songwriting since her 2002 debut album on Ani Difranco’s Righteous Babe Records label, for which she recorded several albums before starting her own Wilderland label in 2012. Hailing from the world of narrative folksong, poetry and balladry, Mitchell manages to tackle themes relevant to the external landscape with the same emotional intimacy that she uses to describe her inner life.
