Folk Festival in Providence this Sunday

The 2nd annual Providence Folk Festival is a free music festival featuring some of the finest folk, acoustic and singer-songwriter acts in the Rhode Island area on two stages of music. Bring a lawn chair, a blanket, and maybe even a picnic lunch/dinner and relax on the lawn at the beautiful Roger Williams National Memorial. Scheduled acts include The Nields, Cliff Eberhardt (pictured), Cardboard Ox, The Rank Strangers, Kala Farnham and Co., Sync or Swim, Dan Lilley and the Keepers with Amy Bedard, Shamanic, Tiffany Rozenas, Jacob Haller, Marc Douglas Berardo, Michael Couto, Generations: Mike & Aleksi Glick, Lara Herscovitch, Jan Luby, Alissa Musto, Grace Rennick, and Carolyn Waters. Food Trucks will be available on the street side of the park. In the event of rain the festival will be postponed until Sunday, Sept 20th and the lineup may be changed.

WHERE: Roger Williams National Memorial, 282 North Main St., Providence

WHEN: Sunday, Aug. 30; noon to 6 p.m.
