Four members of the Barrington High School baseball team received awards during the 2017 RIBCA All-Division Awards Banquet.

Andrew Conaty, Cabot Maher, Matthew Zeleznik and Liam McManus were selected All-Division, and Conaty earned a special recognition as he was awarded the Cy Young Award for Division II-Central. Conaty let the Eagles pitching staff with 47 2/3 innings pitched. He chalked up four wins and finished with an ERA of 2.83. He struck out 35 batters and had five complete games in seven starts. His statistics ranked him among the top five pitchers in Division II all season long.

Maher led the Eagles with a .327 batting average this spring. He ripped 17 hits and drove in 13 runs. He also had an on base percentage of .478. He hit four doubles, two triples and one home run. In addition, Cabot was a standout pitcher for Barrington, striking out 38 in 28 innings pitched.

Zeleznik played well in the lead-off hitting position. He led the team in steals, runs scored with 13, walks with 14 and was third with an on base percentage of .450. Matt also helped the Eagles on the mound. He pitched 17 and 2/3 innings and finished with 16 strikeouts.

McManus tallied the second-best batting average on the team with a .326. He finished with 15 hits, was fourth on the team in RBI and fifth in on base percentage. As an infielder he helped turn six double-plays this season.
