Fourth of July Concert Series Schedule
Find out who's rockin' the stage at Independence Park tonight
The Fourth of July Concert Series resumes Friday night with
Crushed Velvet is a hard-rockin' band that plays "all the music your parents told you not to listen to you." The band, which covers such artists as Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, Black Sabbath and Jimi Handrix, takes the stage at 6:30 p.m. Friday.
Detroit Breakdown "is a high energy Band playing music specifically tailored to keep the audience on the dance floor." The five-man band takes the Independence Park stage at 7:45 p.m.
The Concert Series continues every night through July 3 at Independence Park on Thames Street. The upcoming schedule:
- Saturday, June 25 — The American Band, 7 p.m.
- Sunday, June 26 — Changes in Latitudes, 7 p.m.
- Monday, June 27 — The Annie Brobst Band, 6:30 p.m.; Bobby Carlson and the Stone River Band, 7:45 p.m.
- Tuesday, June 28 — Navy Band Northeast, 7 p.m.
- Wednesday, June 29 — Diesel, 6:30 p.m.; Merchants of Cool, 7:45 p.m.
- Thursday, June 30 — Boston Premier Band, 6:30 p.m.; The British Invasion, 7:45 p.m.
- Friday, July 1 — Patrick McAloon, 6:30 p.m.; The Bronx Wanderers, 7:45 p.m.
- Saturday, July 2 — The World Premier Band, 7 p.m.
- Sunday, July 3 — The Falcoa Brothers, 6:30 p.m.; Songs in the Attic, 7:45 p.m.
