Francis J. “ Frank” Conway, 83, of Bristol, died Friday, June 2, 2017, at the Rhode Island Veterans Home. He was born in Providence a son of the late Joseph and Mary (McQuade) Conway.

Francis J. Conway, 83, Bristol

Francis J. “ Frank” Conway, 83, of Bristol, died Friday, June 2, 2017, at the Rhode Island Veterans Home. He was born in Providence a son of the late Joseph and Mary (McQuade) Conway.

Frank was an analytical chemist for many years, and also a US Army Veteran. He was a graduate of the Franklin Technical Institute.

Mr. Conway was a Bristol resident since 1995, coming from Providence. He attended services at St. Francis Chapel in Providence. Frank was an avid pool player, and he liked the Boston Red Sox, and also horses and dogs.

He is survived by a sister Alice Langan, of Cranston, and several nieces and nephews. Frank was the brother of the late Anne Sweeney and the late Mary Gamble.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of the RI Veterans Home, Bristol, with Military Honors after the Mass. He was buried in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
