EAST PROVIDENCE — The week-long celebration of Arts by East Providence High School students concluded Tuesday evening, May 22, with a Parents Night/Closing Reception and awards ceremony.

The following students were awarded for their achievement in the 2018 EPHS Art Show: Student Choice First Place: Jazlyn Alvarez, Paper Mache Pizza; Student Choice Second Place: Gabriel Sherman, Atmospheric Perspective; Student Choice Third Place: Meghan Newton, Pop Art Painting

Best in Show, 9th Grade: Tarah Couto, Still Life Drawing; Best in Show, 10th Grade: Jason Lucas, Self Portrait Drawing; Best in Show, 11th Grade: Gabrielle Patrone, Self Portrait Painting; Best in Show, 12th Grade: Cora Petrarca, Ceramics

Best in Show, Art 1: Cintia Valerio, Shoe Design; Best in Show, Mixed Media: Sarah Sherman, Collage; Best in Show, Ceramics: Alicia Rey, Slab Construction; Best in Show, 2D: Trinitie Lussier, Cray Pas Drawing; Best in Show, 3D: Kyle Medeiros, Lidded Jar; Faculty's Choice: Shane Bettencourt, Ceramic Lamp; Principal's Choice: Kristine Seculles, Ceramic Vessel.

Winning artwork will be on display during the annual EPHS choral concert on May 24 and the work of the Principal's Choice recipient will be displayed in the main office until the end of the current school term.
