The East Providence High School girls’ volleyball team prepped for the start of its 2017 season by hosting Mount St. Charles in the annual Injury Fund scrimmage last week on Carvalho Court at the Ramos Gymnasium.

The Townies edged the Mounties in five games by the scores of 14-25. 25-15, 16-25, 25-23, 15-10.

“We were able to play five games, got a ton of kids playing time. It was definitely a good night,” said EPHS head coach Alex Butler.

The Townies open up their Division I regular season schedule at home Wednesday night, Sept. 6, against Cranston West at 6:30 p.m.
