Gilberto F. Lima, 90, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2017 with his family at his bedside.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Maria Noemia; his children Maria and Billy Cunha of Bristol, Joseph and Kimberly Lima of Cumberland, Gilbert Lima of Warren (with whom he lived), and Fatima Lima and Dennis Fowler of Mt. Vernon, Maine.
He was a man of many talents, with an appreciation for painting, gardening and cooking. His greatest passion was his commitment to his family, especially his grandchildren, William, Juliana, Christian, Jenna and Rebecca, whom he loved more than anything.
Calling hours are Thursday, Aug. 3, 10-11 a.m. at the George Lima Funeral Home, 367 High St., with a Mass of Christian Burial, 11:30 a.m. at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood St. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bristol.
