Girls Basketball: East Providence beats Mt. Hope, 43-29

BRISTOL—East Providence junior Courtney Dorr scored 18 points in leading the Townies to a 43-29 victory over Mt. Hope in a non-league in Bristol on Thursday night. Teammate Shaniah Hazard scored 13, and Paige Chakouian scored 6.

The D-III Huskies hung tough with the D-II Townies. East Providence led just 19-12 at halftime before pulling away with 24 points in the second half.

Junior forward Sara Godfrey led Mt. Hope with 10 points. Sophomore guard Thea Brum scored 9 and junior forward Jenna Cimbron netted 5 for the Huskies.
