Gloria Doherty Kenefick of Falmouth, Ma. and formerly of Warren passed away on Monday, Dec. 5, 2016, from complications of a stroke. She was 81 years old.
Gloria was born in Warren on the 4th of July, 1935, and remained in that area until 2006 when she moved to Falmouth to be closer to her son and granddaughters. She is survived by her son Paul Doherty and his three daughters, Kelly, Kimberly and Abigail. She also leaves a sister, Margaret Cary of Rangeley, Maine. Gloria was proud of her Irish heritage, but she was especially proud to be an American. She enjoyed going to the Bristol RI Fourth of July parade every year. She also loved to write letters, and kept in touch with family and friends near and far that way. Fondly known around Falmouth as “The scooter lady,”she could be seen buzzing around town on her mobility scooter in almost any weather. She will be deeply missed, but never forgotten by those of us who loved her.
Services will be private, but letters of condolence can be sent to oilerpaul@aol.com.
