Gluten and Gluten Free Cooking in Perfect Harmony

Posted

Are you a cooking enthusiast or someone who wants to learn more about cooking for food allergies and sensitivities? Come join us at the Seekonk Public Library for Gluten and Gluten-free Cooking in Perfect Harmony on Monday, March 25th at 6 PM. This program is sponsored by The Friends of the Seekonk Public Library and is FREE and open to the public. No registration is required.

Local author Lucie Cote Contente joins us to share her favorite recipes that family and friends with and without gluten sensitivities both can enjoy. She uses her experience with multiple food allergies and her love of home cooking to create an easier path for others with similar issues. Her recipes are specifically designed to appeal to everyone and not just people with food sensitivities.

Jim McGaw

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
