Grapentine: I will advocate a bi-partisan direction that puts Bristol first

Posted

With the 2018 Election cycle coming to a close, we are now at what Ronald Reagan called “A Time for Choosing.”

In a political year marked nationally by division, state and local governments have the ability turn-the-tide on civil discourse by electing new leaders instead of familiar politicians marked by one party or ideology.

This opportunity affects Bristol even more, as with two vacant Town Council seats, the Town has no choice but to change how we are governed going forward.

Instead of increasing property taxes, burdensome business regulation, and less of a voice for major policy changes, Bristol can have a sense of pragmatism that puts the needs for the town before anything else.

As a member of Bristol’s Town Council, I will work for the people’s interests first, put taxpayers above special interests, work across the aisle to improve jobs and the economy, with open ethics and transparency.

Will Sousa Grapentine

Mr. Grapentine is a Republican running for Bristol Town Council.
