Heidi Ann (Ladd) Pacheco, 49, of Portsmouth, passed away on Nov. 9, 2018. Heidi was born on Jan. 7, 1969, in Augusta, Maine to Charles Ladd and Gail (Anderson) Ladd. Heidi was the wife of Nicholas Pacheco of Portsmouth.

Heidi received a bachelor's degree from Roger Williams University. She worked as a librarian assistant at Portsmouth High School and in her spare time she loved to cook and was a huge cat lover.

Besides her husband and parents, Heidi is survived by her stepchildren, Kenneth Pacheco and his wife Pamela of Perry, Mich., Melanie Pacheco and her husband Michael Archer of Portsmouth, Jessica Pacheco and her husband Kyle Ferreira of Portsmouth, her brother Kevin Ladd of Townsend, Mass., her brother Eric Ladd and his wife Jennifer of North Carolina, her sister Kimberly Taylor and her husband Edward of Andover, Mass., her mother-in-law, Judith Pacheco of Portsmouth, her sisters-in-law Judith Drake of Portsmouth and Lorri Gong of California, as well as her grandchildren Lillian Pacheco, Leah Pacheco, Michael Archer, Jr., Kyla Archer, and Luna Ferreira, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held Friday, Nov. 16, 2018 from 4-7 p.m. at the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Maine.

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
