Second annual BBCA Dip in the Bay raises spirits, and money

Posted

More than 100 residents — young and old — braved the chilly water at Barrington Beach while participating in the second annual Barrington Business and Community Association’s New Year’s Day Dip in the Bay.

Bryan Hoffman, who helped organize the event, said 125 people signed up for the plunge, and more than $4,000 was raised. The BBCA is also donating $250 for any individual or business who donated $250 or more.

The money will be distributed to Tap-In (Touch A Person In Need) and The Barrington Lions Club Scholarship Fund.
