Iconic Barrington church receives fresh coat of paint

The Barrington Congregational Church is looking a bit brighter these days.

The local church, which was built in 1806 and is often referred to as "The White Church," received a fresh coat of paint, courtesy of Catanzaro and Sons Painting. The crew arrived earlier this month and spent a few days prepping the building's exterior. By Tuesday, Sept. 22, most of the church had been re-painted.

The White Church holds a bit of history for Barrington. It is believed that some of the beams and boards from the original congregational church in town, which dated back to 1711, were used in the construction of the current church.

The Barrington Congregational Church sits at the corner of County Road and Massasoit Avenue.
