Imago hosts live concert on Saturday night

Imago Foundation for the Arts presents Kim Trusty and Steve Skop in concert on Saturday, Sept. 17, at 7:30 p.m. at Imago Gallery, 36 Market Street, Warren.

Trusty is a powerful and diverse vocalist, songwriter and guitarist. She studied songwriting at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, where she was referred to as “the girl with the golden voice.”

Bassist Steve Skop performs in jazz, classical, theater, world and contemporary music settings. He is director of the jazz ensemble at Anna Maria College, directs jazz and rock ensembles at Thayer Academy and Venerini Academy, and teaches bass at Anna Maria College, Foxborough High School and Thayer Academy.

Jim McGaw

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
