Annual Touch-a-Truck raises money for library

The revving engine of a nearby vehicle was a little too loud for Michael Bruno, 3, who covered his ears from inside an East Coast Construction truck. For the first time this year, no horns or sirens were allowed from 1-2 p.m., to allow for some quiet time for young ears.

PORTSMOUTH — Young tikes climbed, crawled and bounced on a wide variety of vehicles Saturday at the annual Touch-a-Truck at Glen Park.
The event was a fund-raiser for the Portsmouth Free Public Library and gave families an opportunity to get up close and personal with all types of vehicles and heavy equipment, including a police car, fire truck, race car and more.
