James V. Ricci, 95, a resident of the RI Veterans Home and previously King Phillip Ave. in Bristol, passed away on May 10, 2016. He was the beloved husband of the late Bertha (Graydon) Ricci and son of the late James V. and Florence A. (Christianson) Ricci, Sr.
James was a textile manager for Duro Finishing in Fall River for 31 years, retiring in 1987. He was an Army Air Corp veteran of WWII. and a member of VFW post # 237, Bristol, an avid golfer, and automobile enthusiast. Living on the ocean, James also enjoyed boats and fishing.
James is survived by his children, James V. Ricci III and his wife Michelle of NC, Steven S. Ricci and his wife Anne, Peter P. Ricci, and Christina P. Ricci; 5 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; two brothers, Richard Ricci and his wife Carol, and Robert Ricci and his companion, Barbara Amaral; and sister Florence A. LaGreca. He was the brother of the late John C. Ricci, Evelyn Sousa, Elizabeth Monti and Lucille Palmieri.
Services were held on Saturday, May 14, from the A.A. Mariani and Son Funeral Home, Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at in the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. Burial was in St. Francis Cemetery.
