Janis Rodrigues, 68, formerly of Bristol

Janis (West) Rodrigues, 68, a resident of Orange City, Fla., and formerly of Bristol, R.I., passed away on Nov. 13. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Manuel Rodrigues Jr.

She worked several years for the Bristol Phoenix and retired from Siemens in Lake Mary, Fla. She enjoyed and was active in political causes and cherished spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter F. West and Eva (Rainey) West. She is also survived by daughter Jennifer Gilreath and son-in-law Kenneth Gilreath of Summerville, Ga.; daughter Marlene Perrick of Orange City, Fla.; son Peter Rodrigues and daughter-in-law Jennifer Trezza Rodrigues of Winter Park, Fla.; eight grandchildren, Amber Perrick, Tyler Hill, Meghan Perrick, Jacob Perrick, Dustin Gilreath, Devin Gilreath, Emma Rodrigues and Aiden Rodrigues; and three great-grandchildren, Arianna, Brantley and Talon, and a siste,r Claire Palmieri of Kissimmee, Fla., along with several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. A private memorial celebration of life was held with family.

Arrangements were made by Lohman Funeral Home in Deltona, Fla.
