Jean O. Audet, 75, of Swansea, MA, passed away Friday, Jan. 27, 2017 at his home. He was the husband of the late Geraldine E. Audet.

Born in Fall River, a son of the late Armel and Irene (Dube) Audet, he was a graduate of Diman Regional Vocational High School’s Class of 1959. Jean went on to serve in the United States Army during the Cuban Missile Crisis before beginning his career as a union cabinet maker, ultimately working for Monarch Industries for 15 years before retiring. He loved his family, was an extremely artistic person, loved woodworking and was an avid furniture maker. He also loved skiing and the Patriots.

He is survived by his son Michael Audet of Swansea; his daughter Christine Audet-Kelly and her husband Jim of Warren, RI; Stephen Audet and his wife Laura and his grandson Nathaniel Audet-Frazer of Providence, RI; and brother Raymond Audet and his wife Lorraine of Fall River, MA. He was the brother of the late Paul Audet and Alban Audet.

His Memorial Service will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, in the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Birchcrest, 189 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea, MA. Visitation runs from 6 to 8 p.m. Burial private. Relatives and friends invited.
