Joanne M. Branco, 71, Westport

Joanne M. (Davis) Branco, 71, of Westport, passed away on Monday, December 4, 2017, at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Manuel V. Branco.

Mrs. Branco was born in Fall River, daughter of the late Michael J. and Joanna R. (Aniki) Davis, and had been a longtime resident of Westport.

She had worked at the Registry of Motor Vehicles, Boston, and for the Board of Health, Westport. She was a secretary for the Newport Naval War College, Bristol Community College, Fall River and UMASS Dartmouth.

Survivors, along with her husband, include her son, Christopher Branco of N. Dartmouth; two grandsons, Logan and Duel; and many nieces and nephews.

Her Mass of Christian Burial, to which relatives and friends are invited, will be Thursday, Dec. 7, at St. John the Baptist Church, Westport at 10 a.m.

Interment will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.

Calling hours are respectfully omitted.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
