Letter: After Comey firing, time again for ‘Winter Soldier'

Posted

To the editor:

Back in another day of a year far gone, a rag-tag bunch of Vietnam veterans and I formed a group called the Winter Soldier Investigation into US war crimes — testifying that Lt. William Calley's actions at My Lai were the tip of an iceberg. It was risky business, most of us being in uniform still. We chose the name "Winter Soldier" from those who stayed in Valley Forge that horrible winter of our Revolution, unlike the "Sunshine Patriots" who left for home.

In the aftermath of FBI Director Comey's demise, may we all be Winter Soldiers again, for as long as it takes, however deep the cold, in the name of our national honor and the love for our fellow human beings.

Seriously Joe, draining the swamp. Trump filled the swamp up with a new cast of even swampier creatures. Everything he spoke out against is exactly who he hired to run his inept office. on the other hand the voters of tiverton spoke and voted to drain you out of the swamp but you still ramble on

Well fake name we won the budget fight, and will continue to make Tiverton Great Again. In or out of office I'm still in the game. The Charter review is next, not that you would care, since you live else where.

Joe, you won nothing. Even katz and his crew realize how toxic your presence is on local politics. As for Trump and his ilk, the days of that blowhard running this nation into the ground are numbered. B is not a fake name it is a real letter in my name. Why was fake name posting ok when you and Dan Gordon did it? Yes we know you were Jethro.

Well Fake Name, you appear to be as clueless as the people who tried to push a second budget. I have a good relationship with the taxpayer group even though we don't always agree. They are reasonable people who understand the problems in our town. Since you don't live here, or pay taxes here, why would you care? You appear to be just another clueless liberal who is most likely a Municipal Employee looking for another raise. That's why the phony name is used.

Joe i do live here in town. I have lived here for over 25 years and Knowo you and your history quite well. I know why you had to resign and I know why you weren't re elected this past time. Once again with the fake name thing. Do you deny posting for many years as Jethro and many other names. Keep up the good work Joejay. I noticed you did not answer any questions about how Trump is draining the swamp by hiring most of Goldman Sachs and bending over for Russians. Joe you support a treasonous traitor.
