Letter: Barrington store, customers share 'Spirit of Giving'

To the editor:

TAPIN (Touch A Person In Need) would like to thank Barrington Shaw's and specially store manager Karen Medeiros for choosing the agency as their community partner and designating it as the recipient of all the food donated by Barrington Shaw's generous customers during the "Spirit of Giving Program."

Through the program, customers purchased $5, $10 or $15 vouchers representing designated bags of food. In the end the dollar amount totaled $3,330, and we are thrilled to announce that over 2,745 pounds of food was donated!

Thanks to the wonderful TAPIN volunteers for loading, delivering and shelving all of that food — 4-and-a-half truckloads full!

Special thanks again to all the wonderfully supportive community members who make sure TAPIN can continue its good work.

Sincerely,

Joyce Marabello

Susan Holmes

Barrington

Ms. Marabello and Ms. Holmes are co-presidents of TAPIN.
