Letter: Congressman Cicilline must live in a different universe

Posted

I received an email from Congressman David Cicilline regarding the State of the Union address. Cicilline stated that the speech was long, self-absorbed, and divorced from reality. Well, he was correct on one thing, it was long. As far as being self-absorbed and divorced from reality, well I strongly disagree.

It is very apparent that Congressman Cicilline lives in a different universe. The President stated that the United States economy is the strongest it has ever been, and it is due to the policy changes he has made while President, which has brought back jobs to this country.

Cicilline also stated that the President demonized immigrant families? What channel were you watching, Congressman? The President said that illegal immigration is against the law and is costing our country millions of dollars. Not to mention the human trafficking, drugs and murders that are committed by some of these illegal immigrants.

Let me make myself very clear. I am not a big fan of President Trump personally, but I strongly feel he is putting America first and he has proven that over the past two years.

I strongly urge Congressman Cicilline and all the other Democrats to put their personal feelings aside for the President and to do the jobs they were elected to do.
