Letter: Hanley drops out of District 68 race

Posted

To the editor:
To the residents of District 68: In my last two runs for Town Council I didn’t raise or spend a dime and therefore have no war chest to draw from. Without the endorsement of the District 68 Committee and with the machine of the progressive Democrats already in place for the primary and a well financed incumbent “Independent” Democrat waiting in the special election, the time frame is just too short to overcome those hurdles.
After careful consideration I am withdrawing my name from the upcoming election and I want to thank all of my supporters. 2020 might be a different story!
