Letter: In Westport, ’tis the time before voting
It’s the time before voting and all through Westport,
The plan for a new school needs our support.
The middle school’s abandoned. The high school is old.
They both need replacement, the hard truth be told.
The building committee’s study has painstakingly found
A plan educationally and financially sound.
Town officials have all said “so moved”
As each step on the way they’ve approved.
And now it’s our civic duty, every woman and man,
To say “YES” to the future and vote for the plan.
