I am the parent of two children in Barrington Public Schools.
I am also an English teacher in Providence. My school is for kids in 7th, 8th, and 9th grades and our classes begin at 8:45 a.m. As a teacher, I can see that this start time is beneficial to my students, both in terms of their alertness and readiness to learn as well as their overall well-being. As a parent, I am looking forward to my kids enjoying the same benefits when Barrington's new schedule begins this fall.
