Congressman David Cicilline stated that the President “should forget the Wall.” That statement is so irresponsible and does not represent the feelings of the American people. Many of my Democratic friends and family believe that the wall will work and that the Democratic Party is not working in the best interest of the American people.
My grandparents emigrated here from Portugal many decades ago and did it the right way, and I am very proud of that. Allowing anyone to enter this country illegally puts our American citizens at risk and costs our government millions of dollars. Illegal aliens are trafficking drugs and young girls, and gangs are committing murders and atrocities that are horrible.
My message is simple; reform our immigration policy now, and build a wall or barrier to increase border security.
I think the Democratic Party has lost its way.
