Face the truth. Stop the lies about how the Assault Weapons Ban Bill will save lives in Rhode Island.
 Politicians just love to play to their base and go along with the “flavor of the month issue”. Here is something that they haven’t been able to fix to save lives, even with all their legislative powers. “2016 may go down as one of the worst years for drunk driving deaths. On average, 28 people a day have been killed in DUI accidents.
Christine Alexander knows the pain a drunk driver can cause because she was one. When she got in the car that fateful night in 2004, she said she didn’t know how intoxicated she was. She had a blood alcohol level twice the legal limit. He died. She went to jail. - CBS NEWS December 26, 2016, 7:04 PM.
Also, think about the people our legislators could help to kill when they legalize “play time” marijuana use.  I’m sure that many of those drunk drivers will also enjoy a good smoke while drinking.
Here is another way our legislators could save lives, Legislate a fix for the opioid epidemic Well then again maybe they can’t, because it is another people problem not some inanimate object problem. Duh!
