To the editor:
As I walked into town hall today, to renew Callie Rose’s dog license, I looked up at the flag pole as I entered and saw the BLM flag flying over our veterans.
I had to stop and wonder, why would anyone put a flag up after seeing this organization’s posting of a picture celebrating the day Hamas came flying down to kill women, children, families, and applauding this horrible day in our history.
I am ashamed that the Council has not spoken or stood up to put this practice of placing flags over our veterans and under the American Flag, especially after this horrible day, as a lesson in not putting politics on a flag pole.
Keep in mind that any organization that posted that horrible picture that day (i.e. breast cancer, autism, etc.) I would be writing to you with the same concern.
All I can say is shame on this Council for making sure that when people now look up they see that Barrington supports terrorism, and applauds this. You all should have set a better example.
