To the editor:

Hillary’s “basket of deplorables” and the “basket of the privileged” are on a collision course of disaster for the rest of us. Both seem to have no understanding of reality for anyone but themselves. There seems to be very little concern or respect by either side for the world toward others outside of their own sphere. 

We have a beautiful town, a good place to live. That being said, we need to respect everyone’s needs not just one or the other segment if we wish to keep our well working diverse community.

A good education has never needed to provide a lot of bells and whistles to provide excellence. It needs people, teachers who have a great zest for knowledge and know how to inspire the young to learn and seek knowledge in their path through life.

Respect is needed by both sides of the middle school question as well as other projects in our town. There are many of us, in of all stages of life who cannot afford higher taxes over many years, not just our older citizens.

Our town government should serve everyone not just one segment of our town. 

Finally, the schools in Barrington are public schools not private schools.
