Little Compton Police: Car rolls into ocean

Monday, April 10

At 10:15 a.m., a car struck a guard rail on Peckham Road. No injuries were reported.

At 3:47 p.m., officers responded to an address on Oak Forrest Drive after a report that a neighbor's dog had bitten the victim's dog. The injured victim suffered multiple bite wounds, and stitches were required. Quarantine orders were issued.

Wednesday, April 12

At 8.57 a.m., an unoccupied car rolled off the South Shore beach parking lot into the ocean. It was later towed out of the water.

At 8:28 p.m., officers were called to a Long Highway address following a report of a domestic disturbance. Cassandra Lopes, 27, of 185 Long Highway, Little Compton was charged with domestic simple assault.

Thursday, April 13

A car traveling on Swamp Road at 8:23 a.m. struck a deer. No injuries were reported.

Saturday, April 15

At 8:02 a.m., officers responded to a Long Highway address to transport a stray dog to Sakonnet Veterinary Hospital in Tiverton.
