At 9:50 a.m., a Willow Avenue resident came into police headquarters to report identity theft.

Wednesday, June 8

A resident visiting South Shore Beach reported at 12:35 p.m. that an intoxicated male at the beach was trying to leave in his vehicle. Officers arrived and spoke with the person in question, and the matter was resolved.

Little Compton Police: Drunks at South Shore Beach

Tuesday, June 7

At 9:50 a.m., a Willow Avenue resident came into police headquarters to report identity theft.

Wednesday, June 8

A resident visiting South Shore Beach reported at 12:35 p.m. that an intoxicated male at the beach was trying to leave in his vehicle. Officers arrived and spoke with the person in question, and the matter was resolved.

At 3:07 p.m., a Long Highway resident requested police presence while she removed some items from her previous residence.

At 11:06 p.m., an officer found a trailer plate on Sakonnet Point Road road while he was on patrol. He took the plate to headquarters and contacted the owner to pick it up.

Friday, June 10

A report was received at 11:59 a.m. that someone had written inappropriate graffiti on a Long Highway sign. Officers seized the sign and returned to headquarters.

At 10:27 a.m., a South Shore Road resident reported someone had struck his mailbox with a vehicle and left the scene. The suspect vehicle was not located.

Sunday, June 12

A driver was stopped in the roadway to let another vehicle back out from a parking spot near Simmons Cafe on Crandall Road in Adamsville. Another driver was backing out of another spot and didn’t see the first vehicle that was stopped, and struck it, causing minor damage to both vehicles.

At 1:49 p.m., a Quaker Hill Farm Road resident reported that even after construction to widen the above road, it was still not wide enough. He requested a report be made saying he had to back up to let a vehicle pass, causing him to strike construction tarps.

At 2:51 p.m., a caller reported a drunk and disorderly male on South Shore Beach. Officers made contact with the person in question, and arranged to get him a ride home.
