The Fourth of July Concert Series returns Wednesday night with two popular local bands rockin' Independence Park. Tonight's performances include:

Rendition

June 21, 6:30 p.m.
Rendition is an Acoustic/Electric trio whose strength is putting their own spin on a wide range of great songs with big harmonies that will astound you. Music from the 1960s to the present is featured in a laid-back acoustic/electric format that will have you stomping your feet and clapping your hands. Rendition is very popular on the local club scene, and will delight audiences of all ages.

Band of Brothers

June 21, 7:45 p.m.
Band of Brothers is a unique combination of six musicians who have been playing music since the 60s. The members have been in the bands One Bone Shy, Deja Vu, Time-Piece, Run-21, F-Sharp, Neon Jungle, and Touch, to name a few.  Formed to showcase multi-part vocal harmonies and an out of the ordinary variety of music, Band of Brothers takes extreme pride in performing a show that you won't forget. This show will be very crowded and early arrival is highly recommended.

Jim McGaw

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
