Lydia (Bragantin) Carreiro, 89, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Dec. 14, 2017, at Silver Creek Manor. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Pamela, and her husband, Lionel J. Carreiro. We know she is at peace and reunited with them both.

She is survived by her four children and their families, Lydia Sheckels of New Jersey, Lionel Carreiro of Lincoln, Linda Baker and Paula Valeiro, both of Bristol; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Barbour of Bristol, and sister-in-law, Genevieve Motta of Seekonk, and was the sister of the late Frank Bragantin and Joseph Bragantin.

Lydia was a lifelong resident of Bristol and 1946 graduate of Colt Memorial High School.

Her funeral services were on Monday, Dec. 18, with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by the Rev. Richard Narcisco at St. Elizabeth’s Church.   Burial followed in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
