Mary Prindle, 90, formerly of Bristol

Mrs. Mary (Scolaro) Prindle, age 90, formerly of Brookwood Road, Bristol, died Friday, Jan. 4, 2019, in Jacksonville, Fla. She was the wife of the late Martin S. Prindle, her husband of 57 years, who preceded her in death in November of 2008. 

Born in Bristol and a Bristol resident for many years, she was a daughter of the late John and Santa (Pante) Scolaro. Mary was a graduate of Colt Memorial High School, Bristol, Class of 1946. She worked for a number of years as an assembly line worker for R. & J. Manufacturing Company and then was a kitchen worker at Roger Williams University for many years, until retiring a number of years ago. Mary was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Bristol. 

She is survived by three sons, Kenneth A. Prindle of Warren, Robert Prindle (LiLing) of Jacksonville, Fla., who Mary been living with for the past few years, and Michael A. Prindle (Ruth) of Riverside; four grandchildren, Lynn, Barbara, Richard and Michael, and a great-grandson, Jake, and a sister, Sandra LaRoach of Swansea, Mass.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Marilyn A. Bell, a son, Martin G. Prindle, and brothers, Frank E., Philip and Joseph Scolaro, and sisters, Kathryn Duarte and Josephine Smith. 

Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood St., Bristol, are Friday, Jan. 11, 2019, at 9 a.m., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State St., Bristol. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground, Hope Street, Bristol. Visiting hours will be Thursday, Jan. 10, from 4 to 7 p.m.
