Maureen (Muz) T. (Golden) Brady, age 79, from Barrington, was surrounded by the love of all her family and friends when she entered into rest on Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2017. Maureen was the wife of the late Thomas F. Brady. She was the daughter of the late Molly (Spratt) Golden and Miles Golden, born in Stamford, Conn.

Maureen attended Springdale schools and graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in Stamford, and studied nursing at Hospital of St. Raphael in New Haven, Conn., where she graduated in the Class of 1958. Maureen was employed by St. Joseph’s Hospital in Stamford; Peter Bent Brigham in Boston, Mass.; and Hallworth House in Providence, from which she retired in 2007.

Maureen was always filled with love and laughter and shared that zest with many friends throughout her life.  She travelled extensively when not providing exceptional care to patients, family, and friends. Maureen had a sixth sense. She knew when you needed her love and support and would call or just show up and always with a smile.

Maureen is survived by her sister, Sheila Schreyer (Don) from Knoxville, Tenn., and children Kevin Brady (Madeline Prout) from Sebastian, Fla., Scott Brady from Key Largo, Fla., and Susan Brady (Lucien Berteau) from Melbourne, Fla. She leaves seven nephews, three nieces, and many great- nieces and nephews. Maureen was pre-deceased by two sisters, Jean Burr and Ann Patricia Golden, a brother Joseph Golden, and nephew Timothy Golden.

A Roman Catholic Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, Oct. 7, at 10 a.m. in the Carmelite Monastery, 25 Watson Avenue, Barrington, RI 02806.
