The Mt. Hope baseball team scored 16 runs on 14 hits to topple Hope at Guiteras School Field in Bristol on Friday afternoon. The win boosted the Huskies to the top of Division III with a 7-1 record. Huskies senior catcher Michael Stallings drove in four runs on two hits to lead the attack. Sophomore left fielder Charlie Amarante scored three runs going two for three with two walks. With the score 8-6, the Huskies broke the game open with a sixth run sixth inning. That was more than enough for sophomore starter Connor Padovich to record the win.

Next up: The Huskies host Shea on Thursday at 4 p.m. at Guiteras School Field.
