The Mt. Hope gymnastics team placed ninth out of twelve schools with a score of 138.675 at the New England Gymnastics Championships at Dracut High School in Massachusetts on Saturday. “The girls fought hard the whole meet. They started the meet off strong on floor with beautiful routines,” said head coach Nicole Daniello.

Freshman Meghan Oliver placed 15th in all around with a score of 36.45. Oliver placed 10th on beam with a score of 9.375 and 17th on vault with a score of 9.3. “Meghan’s gave a stellar performance on beam scoring a team high 9.375. Her vault was explosive and dynamic and she performed one of her best bar routines of the season,” said coach Daniello.

Senior Victoria Gendreau placed 24th in all around with a score of 35.425. Gendreau placed 19th on floor with a score of 9.375. “Victoria performed one of her best floor routines topping her season high score,” said coach Daniello.

Freshman Jayme Foreman placed 40th in all around with a score of 33.35. Senior Jordan Masaitis while battling an illness, gave solid performances on bars and vault. Senior Kelsey Gonzalez and sophomores Ashley Heald and Brianna Gendreau, all competed on floor and vault.

“It was definitely a successful season. Just making it to New England's as a Division II team is remarkable. I am so proud of all of the girls for their accomplishments this season, their qualifying as a team for New England's their talented performances and their dedication and relentless nature to improve themselves,” said coach Daniello.
