The Mt. Hope women’s lacrosse team picked up a pair of wins this week, improving their early-season record to 3-1 as they begin play in Division II after losing in the Division III championship game last season.

The Lady Huskies dominated Portsmouth last Friday, overwhelming the Patriots goalkeeper en route to an 11-2 win. Mt. Hope followed that performance up with a 12-10 victory over Prout High School Monday.

The Huskies sit in second place behind undefeated East Greenwich (3-0), just ahead of Prout (3-2) and Lincoln (3-3). The team next faces off against Smithfield at home (Bristol Town Beach) April 24 at 4 p.m.
