Nunzio A. Palazzo, 77, of Barrington

Nunzio A. Palazzo, 77, of Anthony Road, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 16, 2017. He was the beloved husband of Frances (Araujo) Palazzo. 

A lifelong resident of Barrington, he was the son of the late Andrew and Philomena (Dorsi) Palazzo. 

Mr. Palazzo was an offset printer for various firms throughout Rhode Island for over 40 years. He was an attendant at the Bayside YMCA, Barrington and the Brown University Ticket Office for the past 10 years. 

Nunzio was a graduate of Barrington High School Class of 1958 where he was the class president and lettered in football, basketball and baseball. He was a former member of the Barrington Men’s Softball League and former coach for the Barrington Girls Little League. A sports enthusiast, he was a devoted Boston Red Sox fan. 

Mr. Palazzo was a communicant of Holy Angels Church.  

He enjoyed spending time with his loving family. 

Besides his wife of 53 years, he is survived by two daughters, Janet Lever and her husband John of Barrington and Katherine Palazzo of Barrington; four grandchildren, Rob Lever and his wife Melissa, Kelsey Lever, Sophia Mecca and Sydney Mecca; a great-granddaughter, Maggie Lever and a brother, Tony Palazzo of Lebanon, NH. He was the brother of the late Robert Palazzo. 

His funeral will be held on Saturday May 20, from the W. Raymond Watson Funeral Home, 350 Willett Ave., Riverside at 8:45 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Angels Church, Maple Avenue, Barrington at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
