Onofrio “Bill” Malafronte, 73, of Hope Street, passed away on April 23, 2017 at Rhode Island Hospital. Born in Bristol, he was the son of the late William and Dorothy (Keegan) Malafronte.

He is survived by his sister, Jennifer Coccio and her husband James; and his brother Frank Malafronte and his wife Pamela. He was the uncle of Kimberly Kelly, Amy Silva, Frank Malafronte and Ashley Roseman.

Mr. Malafronte was a graduate of Colt Memorial High School and was self-employed as a plumber. Bill was a social member of the Ever-Ready Engine & Hose Company of the Bristol Fire Department. Almost daily, he was found making coffee for the members at his own expense. His generosity spread to many of those he ran across, always lending a helping hand, many times without being asked. When asked for a plumbing favor, he obliged. Hopefully those he helped will pass it on or pay it forward.

His funeral services were held on April 29 at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to: Bristol Fire Department, 4 Annawamscutt Drive, Bristol, RI, 02809.

He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
