Parella: Pink Bags are a great deal for Bristol

With tipping fees at the Central Landfill at $47/ton, we must recycle as much as possible. Simple Recycling (SR) is partnering with the town to send its own vans to pick up the pink bags on your regular trash day. They will pick up clothing, shoes, purses, pillows, other textiles and small home goods/toys. These are all heavy items, so keeping them out of the waste stream is imperative. We should see savings in our tipping fees.

Additionally, SR will pay the town $20/ton for what they pick up, a swing of $66/ton. Keep an eye out for additional information, and the bags that will be mailed to you from SR during the next few weeks.
