Patrick R. Varanese, 48, of West Warwick

Patrick R. Varanese, 48, of West Warwick and formerly Bristol, died Friday, Dec. 8, 2017, at home in West Warwick.

Pat was born in Fall River, Mass., a son of Patrick T. and Susan M. (Reyckert) Varanese of West Warwick.

He was an auto glass installer for many years.

Patrick was a Bristol High School graduate, Class of 1987.

He lived in West Warwick since 2001, coming from Warren and Bristol.

Pat was a parishioner of St. Mary’s Church, Bristol. He enjoyed NSACAR and liked working on all cars. He was a fan of the New England Patriots, and he also played guitar in his band “Trendon.”

Besides his parents, he is survived by his son, Damien Patrick Varanese, of West Warwick.

He is survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was the maternal grandson of the late Laura and Raymond Reyckert, and paternal grandson of the late Helen and Pasquale Varanese.

Patrick was the brother of the late Jill M. Varanese.

His funeral will be held Wednesday, Dec. 13, at 8:30 a.m. from the SMITH FUNERAL and MEMORIAL SERVICES, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, 330 Wood St., Bristol. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours are Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m.
