Pauline M. Cooper, age 83, of Avon Park, Fla., passed away Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017. She was born Nov. 16, 1933 in Brooklyn, N.Y. to Paul and Theresa (Schwind) Mullman. Pauline and Henry moved from New York to Rhode Island in 1963 raising their seven children in Barrington until 2006. They retired to Avon Park from Barrington in 2006.

Pauline loved being a mother and grandmother and took special delight in spending time with her children and grandchildren, particularly their outings to the beach in Newport. Pauline was an avid golfer and directed both the nine-hole women’s group and the junior golf program at Rhode Island Country Club. Pauline enjoyed playing cards with friends as part of the Barrington Bridge group for over twenty years. She participated in and was active on various committees in her parish, St. Luke Church, Barrington.

Pauline is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Henry, of Avon Park; daughters Suzanne Dias of San Diego, Calif., Kathleen Barth of Bellevue, Wash., Marie Liberty of Milford, N.H., Christine Michalski of Gilbert, Ariz., and sons Thomas Cooper of Warren, Stephen Cooper of Winston-Salem, N.C.; brother Raymond Mullman, sister Bernice Roe, and 15 grandchildren. Pauline was predeceased by her son Philip Cooper, and she was the sister of the late Kathryn Mullane and Barbara Kinney.

Her memorial Mass will be held on Friday, Nov. 3 at St. Luke Church, Washington Road, Barrington at 10:30 am with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Pauline’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association or Hospice Compassionate Care, Sebring, Fla.
