Many students start school year with half-day
For Barrington students, summer officially ended on Monday, Aug. 29.
That day marked the start of the 2022-23 school year in Barrington. Most students returned to a half-day; at the high school, freshmen and sophomores went to school for the first half of the day, while juniors and seniors started their day at 12:30 p.m.
Barrington Middle School welcomed back sixth-graders for a full day, while seventh- and eighth-graders were treated to a half-day.
By Tuesday, all grades were back to a full-day schedule.
