Boys and girls across Barrington returned to school on Monday morning, Aug. 28 — some rode their bikes or walked, others took the bus and plenty grabbed rides from their moms and dads.
The first day of school appeared to go smoothly, although some of the buses were running a big behind schedule. School officials have been working hard to maximize efficiencies with student busing — among the upgrades will be the construction of a new bus access lane at Barrington High School.
