Police briefs: Wine goes missing; raccoon found in kitchen
Police officer ushers raccoon out an open window
A resident on Henry Drive called Barrington police on Saturday, Dec. 1, at about 9 p.m. after he realized some bottles of wine had gone missing from his home. The resident told police that he and his wife had left their home at lunchtime and returned at about 8:30 p.m. Upon their return, the residents allegedly noticed that the front door was slightly ajar and 10 bottles of wine were missing from their wine rack. Police are still investigating.
Hungry raccoon?
Barrington police responded to an Adelaide Avenue home on Sunday, Dec. 2, after a resident discovered a raccoon inside his kitchen. Police believe the raccoon may have entered the home through the chimney. The officer opened up all the windows and was able to usher the raccoon out one of the windows.
